What is Myka Designs Jewellery made of?

Myka Designs Collection is true 'costume jewellery' which is made from base materials of brass, stainless steel and pewter . Our designs are then electroplated in a variety of precious metal finishes; rhodium, 18k Gold, Rose Gold, Antiqued Sterling Silver, Antiqued Brass, Antiqued Gold. Other materials we use are leather, glass beads, Swarovski Crystals and Semi-precious beads.

How do I maintain and care for my Myka Designs Jewellery?

Many factors influence the wear and tear of jewellery including perspiration, perfume, hairspray, alcohol and medications consumption, body imbalance, stress, air pollution and others. These factors can provoke a chemical reaction in the metal finishes.

Crystals and leathers cannot tolerate any form of chemicals.

How often and how you care for your Myka will also determine its appearance and longevity. Nothing looks brand new forever, but with a little TLC your Myka Designs Jewellery will last you a very long time and get you many, many compliments!

To keep your Myka Jewellery looking its best:

  • Do not wear it while doing sports
  • Do not wear it while bathing, swimming, hot tub or at the beach
  • Put your jewellery on AFTER you have applied your perfume and hairspray and NEVER spray directly on
  • Minimize contact with lotions, bronzers, oils
  • Should your jewellery get wet, immediately dry off with a cloth
  • To clean your jewellery wipe with a damp cloth
  • Do not use jewellery or silver cleaners as they all contain solvents which will react with our finishes
  • Do not use ultrasonic cleaners or steam baths designed for jewellery
  • Excessive heat can also damage jewellery, do not leave jewellery anywhere in excessive heat
  • Please note that Crystals and glass beads are breakable
  • Cuff or hoop sizes or shapes should not be tampered with. Avoid bending to open or reduce them. This can distort the plating and damage the bezel setting of the stone.
  • Earring post and wires may become bent during shipping or use. Slight adjustments of the posts up or down will usually fix these issues. Posts are very small and delicate so use caution when storing earrings to prevent bending of posts. Euroback wires should also be handled carefully and stored either on their original earring card or in a jewellery box, to avoid crushing
  • When not being worn store you jewellery in a jewellery box, cotton or plastic bag and out of direct sun
  • Failure to follow these instructions may constitute abuse, misuse, or misapplication of your Myka Designs product.

In the shopping cart, enter your E-Gift Card code into the "Redeem an E-Gift Card" field and click "Add Gift Card." What is a website credit and how do I use it?

Website credits can be issued directly to a customer's online account in lieu of a refund when merchandise is purchased from and returned to Mykadesigns.com. To redeem a website credit, you must be logged in to your account. During checkout, your website credit will be available in the "Payment" section. Ordering and Shipping Confirmation emails:

After you place your order, you will receive two emails from Mykadesigns.com. The first email is a receipt/confirmation which will arrive within minutes of submitting your order. You will also receive a shipping confirmation email via UPS.com once your order is on its way.

How fast can I receive my shipment?

Given the handmade nature of the product, order processing time is between 1-2 business days. Myka Deisgns ships all packages via Canada Post, USPS, UPS and international shipments with FEDEX. All other orders(in stock) will be shipped out the next business day. Remember that business days do not include weekends or holidays.

  • Shipping via Canada Post Expedited Parcel will take as little as 3 business days but may take up to up to 10 business days, including the time it takes us to process your order, depending on which part of the country you live in. Remote areas may take a few days more.
  • UPS Express shipments usually take 2 to 5 business days, including the time it takes us to process your order.

ORDERS SHIPPING INTERNATIONALLY OUTSIDE OF THE NORTH AMERICA

International Orders will be confirmed & approved by a customer service agent prior to processing. Upon receipt of your order, a Myka customer service specialist will contact you via email to request additional identification as well as providing shipping costs.
On orders over $500.00 we will require PHOTO ID from the purchaser.
Following confirmation and approval, your payment will be processed and your order will be shipped.
All International orders outside of North America will be shipped by FEDEX International Priority Overnight Depending on destination shipping may take 2-10 business days.
Import duties and brokerage fees are extra and are the responsibility of the buyer.
Myka Designs is not responsible for any International orders being held by Customs.
International customers are responsible for international duties, taxes and refused shipping charges. Please check with our country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.
Remember all shipping times are approximate and not guaranteed! Allow extra time during busy holiday seasons and if you are shipping to a remote area.

What should I do if my package was returned to sender?

If your package was returned back to our facility, a refund will be issued. Once the refund has been processed, you will receive confirmation via email. For further assistance, please contact Customer Service at 1 (800) 608-7703.

How can I track my shipment?

All orders placed on Myka Designs can be tracked. You will receive a tracking number by email once we enter your order in our shipping system. This will usually happen the next business day after you placed your order.
If you prefer, we can track down your shipment. Simply email us noting your invoice number and we will update you on its whereabouts.

Do you ship to P.O. boxes?

Yes, we ship to post office boxes in both Canada and the US when you choose the standard ground shipping option with Canada Post or USPS. Please note that UPS and FedEx do not deliver to P.O. boxes.

How will my package pass through U.S. customs?

Easily! We ship all of our USA orders out of Blaine, WA, so you don't need to worry about customs or extra duties. You will receive your order shipped from a USA location. *(international orders outside of the USA will have duties).

Myka Designs offers a repair policy that is simple, convenient, and insures every piece of Myka Designs Jewellery with a limited TWO-year warranty against manufacturing defects and a lifetime service for repairs*( *repair charges outside of the 2 year warranty will apply)
Should you have a damage, please contact our customer service department ecservice@mykadesigns.com for a Return Authorization # and instructions.
The TWO-year warranty starts from the date of purchase.

Returns

We accept returns and exchanges of unworn, undamaged merchandise for a full refund up to 21 days from date of purchase, provided the merchandise;

  1. Has been purchased on Myka Designs E Boutique, original receipt required
  2. Has NOT been worn
  3. Is returned with its original packaging materials
  4. Has NOT had the security tag removed, PLEASE NOTE THAT NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES WILL BE PROCESSED IF THE SECURITY TAG HAS BEEN REMOVED

Please note that customers are responsible for all shipping fees for returns that are not damaged or incorrect. Please note that for all return orders which were originally shipped out with free shipping, customers are responsible for all shipping fees for returns that are not damaged or incorrect. In other words, you will be refunded your purchase amount less the value of the shipping charges ($10.00 plus tax).
